It's not too many more days until we head off on our big adventure.
All the notes I've taken from hours of blog reading & travel site scouring have been accumulated & printed off into a folder, so that my brain doesn't have to remember EVERYTHING!!
As is my usual practice, I've purchased books set in the countries we are travelling to for my recreational reading whilst away. A crime novel set in Reykjavik & a historical novel set in Norway....that should keep me going!
Our son gave us a very generous early birthday present... super duper headphones that can block sound as well as cordlessly play downloads from my phone via bluetooth. With that in mind, I've been downloading Jo Nesbo books to listen to. His Harry Holler stories are set in Oslo & brilliantly written, so when I've had enough of watching films on the plane, I'll be listening to books!!
For weeks now, clothes designated for potential packing have been spread out over the guest bed. This week their numbers were pruned ...again.... & have now been sorted into these packing pod things. I've not had much experience with these before, but others have raved about how useful they are, so I'm giving them a go this trip.
With this blog post I have not only checked that I have the right cord to upload photos from the camera to the laptop, but I've also revisited how to access said photos on the laptop! Checking these things now means smoother blog writing later!
The passports have been dusted off and tickets printed!
The next time my fingers tap across these keys, we'll be in Iceland! Hopefully there will be heating in the hotel room, as the temperatures I've been tracking over the past few days on my weather widget have shown Reykjavik as being pretty cold!!!
